The Challenge – Monitoring Dozens, Hundreds of Adversary Proceedings Quickly and Efficiently
Although counsel may find it imperative to monitor developments in other bankruptcy preference proceedings, the time and expense required to monitor dozens or even hundreds of adversary proceedings often is substantial. The choice for counsel and the defendant in an adversary proceeding may be either to fore go monitoring other proceedings, monitor proceedings selectively or sporadically or incur substantial paralegal time to report on developments in other proceedings.
There is a critical need to provide another alternative allows:
- the daily reporting of developments in hundreds of adversary proceedings,
- that would strip out meaningless filings like certificates of service, filing credit card receipts and motions for pro hac vice admission; and
- would create a permanent data base of the substantive filings that could be searched, filtered, sorted and assessed.
The APScans Solution to Mass Adversary Proceeding Monitoring
Burbage & Weddell LLC developed APScans for its own use in defending its clients, and believes that the solution can provide substantial value to other counsel as well. APScans may also be a valuable resource for in house legal departments who would like direct reporting of developments in adversary proceedings.
